The goal of the Black Jaguar Foundation (BJF) is to deliver a tangible contribution to protecting the natural habitat of the jaguar. By preserving the habitat needed for the jaguar to survive, millions of species benefit from this protection - including ourselves and our children. By converting agricultural land back to original habitat of the jaguar, through the 'Araguaia Corridor Project', tens of millions of trees will be reforested. We choose the black jaguar as symbol of our foundation as it is the icon of the Amazon Rainforest and symbolizes the fate of the last true rainforest. BJF works with world renowned partners to achieve its ambitious goals and to realize its conservation projects. Fundraising Activities 1. Produce a documentary including the first footage ever of wild black jaguars in their natural environment. The documentary will also cover the developments and challenges of the Corridor Project in great detail. The awareness & publicity generated from making and broadcasting the documentary will generate a strong fundraising platform. 2. Build an international fundraising platform BJF will build and maintain international fundraising centres, to fund and enable its projects. 3. Organize unique, distinctive activities & events to drive awareness, publicity and action. |
Our jaguar conservation projects protect not only the jaguar, but its entire ecosystem: trees, plants, rivers, wildlife. |
