The black jaguar is one of the very few animals left on earth who has never been filmed in the wild. Many people still believe the black jaguar is a myth from another world. Tragically the animal finds itself in great danger. The deforestation has decreased its habitat with 65% and together with the ongoing hunting only 3% of the historic jaguar population has survived. As the top predator, the jaguar is required to keep a balance in its ecosystem such as  the Amazon Rainforest. Saving the jaguar is saving its ecosystem that is also vital to us, humans, as it supplies 20% of the world’s oxygen and much more.

The non-profit Black Jaguar Foundation strives to halt the extinction of the wild black jaguar and will contribute to the preservation of its natural habitat. One of our activities is to produce the first real film footage ever of wild black jaguars in their natural environment.
